Dr. Senthil Thyagarajan
Founder Director & Head CRO
Dr. Senthil Thyagarajan is the Founder Director and Head CRO of BioRadius Therapeutic Research. A renowned researcher in stem cell and clinical research, he previously served as Director & Head CRO of BioClin Research, a bioequivalence CRO, and of NCORD Biotech, a regenerative medicine facility conducting clinical research on regenerative cell-based products. He is also Director, Scientific & Operations, and a partner at Novo Cellular Medicine Institute, Trinidad & Tobago.
He brings more than 13 years of high-level scientific research and management experience, gained in premier pharma and research institutes across several countries. At NCORD Biotech, he set up a clean-room facility for stem cell production and led clinical trial planning and conduct and business development. At BioClin Research, as founder director, he established a DCGI-approved bioequivalence CRO and ran operations and business development as Head CRO.
Before his work in India, he was a postdoctoral scientist at Abbott Pharmaceuticals in Ludwigshafen, Germany, and at the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology in Munich, focusing on clinical research, novel stem cell assays for drug screening, and cell biology. At Abbott, he was part of StemBANCC, a five-year research programme funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) with academic and industry partners across 11 countries, and contributed to a drug discovery platform based on human iPSC-derived neural stem cells.
He holds a PhD in Neurobiology from the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt, Germany. His work has been published in leading international peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. Beyond research and management, he is motivated by the challenge of improving business models for science-driven ventures.
